The first motherboard that works with PCI-E 3.0

In the early CES fair, ASUS displayed its Sabertooth 990FX/GEN3.0 R2.0 motherboard, which is the first AMD motherboard that works with PCI-E 3.0, and not too long later, this motherboard will officially on list.
Sabertooth 990FX/GEN3.0 R2.0 motherboard belongs to the TUF serial products, which is the updated version of the Sabertooth 990FX R2.0, with 5 years quality conforming service, we can know that ASUS is really confident toward this motherboard. Therefore, if you buy motherboard, what reason that make you reject this? None.
This motherboard works with PCI-E 3.0 tech, there are 4 PCI-E x16 slots, of which the first, third and fourth PCI-E x16 slots are compatible for the PCI-E 3.0, thus they can be used to build 2 or 3 roads SLI/CrossFire platform (2 roads are x16+x16, 3 roads are x16+x8+x8), and the second PCI-E x16 slot maintains the PCI-E 2.0 configuration.
Except for this, compared to the previous Sabertooth 990FX, for the reason that Sabertooth 990FX/GEN3.0 R2.0 motherboard have to carry the PCI-E 3.0 bandwidth control chip, an original PCI-E x1 port was canceled, while the other configurations are still the same, USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gbps are all available.
According to arrangement of ASUS, Sabertooth 990FX/GEN3.0 R2.0 motherboard suppliers is officially on list in March, it works with Socket AM3+ port FX serial processer and Socket AM3 port Phenom II/Athlon II/Sempron 100 serial processer.
